Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms govern use of the hosted TEAM MATE service and mobile apps. By creating a workspace or accepting an invitation to one, you agree to them.

The service is provided by TEAM MATE APP PTY LTD (ACN 703 657 461) (“we”, “us”).

The service

TEAM MATE provides staff scheduling, time tracking, and related workforce tools. Workspaces are created and administered by an employer (the “owner”), who controls membership, roles, and the data in the workspace. Staff accounts exist within an employer’s workspace.

Plans and billing

A free tier is available up to a fixed number of staff. Paid subscriptions are billed by Stripe on our website; prices and seat limits are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period: you keep full access until then, and part-months are not refunded (except where the Australian Consumer Law requires a refund). You can undo a cancellation any time before that date. After a paid subscription ends, a workspace within the free tier’s staff limit carries on free; a larger workspace is paused until it subscribes again.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, to attempt access to another workspace’s data, to probe or disrupt the service, or to store content you have no right to store. Don’t post comments or messages that bully, harass or abuse anyone, or that share someone else’s private details. Anyone can report a comment; the post’s managers can remove it, and the employer can remove someone’s access to the workspace. Employers are responsible for complying with the employment, wage-record, and privacy laws that apply to them, including where they turn on location checks or selfies when staff clock in or out.

Data

The employer owns their workspace data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how it is handled. Payroll exports are available to owners at any time.

Pay calculations

TEAM MATE works out hours and pay from the pay rates, overtime rules, penalty rates and public holidays that the employer sets up. It does not know or apply any award or enterprise agreement on its own. It is not legal, payroll, or workplace-relations advice, and it does not guarantee compliance with any award, enterprise agreement, or law. The employer is responsible for checking rates and entitlements with the Fair Work Ombudsman or their advisor, and for the pay amounts in their own payroll system. Public holiday lists are copied from state government pages as a convenience and may be incomplete; employers should check them.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or changed.

Termination

Owners can delete their workspace at any time from settings; staff can delete their own account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Changes to these terms will be posted on this page.
